Frequently asked questions

Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms. By accessing the Vital Home Upgrades website, submitting an inquiry, requesting a consultation, approving an estimate, or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any portion of these terms, please do not use the website or request our services.

2. Service Information. Information presented on this website is provided to describe our home improvement, renovation, remodeling, installation, and related services. Website descriptions, photographs, examples, and general pricing information are not guaranteed to represent the exact materials, dimensions, finishes, or methods that will be used for an individual project. The specific services provided to you will be determined by the written agreement or proposal applicable to your project.

3. Project Consultations. Initial consultations are intended to help us understand your property, goals, preferred materials, anticipated scope, and scheduling requirements. Information discussed during an initial consultation does not create a binding commitment unless confirmed through a written proposal or service agreement signed by the appropriate parties.

4. Estimates and Proposals. Estimates are prepared using the information available at the time they are created. Pricing may be affected by labor requirements, material selections, site accessibility, permitting requirements, supplier pricing, and conditions that cannot reasonably be identified before work begins. A final project price is established by the applicable written agreement. Any estimate expiration date stated in the proposal will apply.

5. Existing and Hidden Conditions. Renovation work may expose conditions that were not visible during an initial inspection, including deteriorated framing, outdated wiring, plumbing deficiencies, moisture damage, pest damage, code-related issues, or other concealed conditions. When such circumstances affect the agreed scope, we may pause the affected work and provide a written explanation and change order before proceeding with additional work.

6. Change Orders. Requests to modify the approved scope, materials, finishes, dimensions, fixtures, or design may require a written change order. Additional labor, materials, disposal, permitting, or scheduling costs associated with an approved change will be communicated before the changed work begins whenever reasonably possible. Verbal discussions alone do not automatically modify a signed project agreement.

7. Customer Responsibilities. Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property and designated work areas during agreed working hours. You should remove or secure valuable, fragile, sentimental, or personal belongings from construction areas. Vital Home Upgrades may require access to appropriate utilities and reasonable conditions necessary for safe performance of the contracted work.

8. Site Conditions and Safety. We are committed to maintaining a professional and reasonably safe working environment. We may temporarily suspend work when conditions present an unreasonable risk to workers, occupants, visitors, property, or equipment. Work may resume once the relevant safety concern has been addressed. Customers must notify us of known hazards, restricted areas, hazardous materials, or conditions that could affect the project.

9. Scheduling and Delays. Project schedules are prepared in good faith but are not guaranteed unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise. Start or completion dates may be affected by weather, inspections, permitting, supplier delays, labor availability, design revisions, customer-requested changes, concealed conditions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material scheduling changes.

10. Materials and Substitutions. Material availability may change after a proposal is prepared. When an approved product becomes unavailable or is discontinued, we may recommend an alternative of reasonably comparable quality, appearance, or function. Any material substitution that materially changes the agreed scope or price will be discussed with the customer before approval.

11. Payments and Invoices. Deposits, progress payments, milestone payments, and final balances are governed by the applicable project agreement. Amounts become due according to the payment schedule stated in that agreement. Failure to make required payments may result in delayed scheduling, suspension of work, or other remedies permitted under the applicable agreement and law.

12. Permits and Approvals. Where included in the agreed scope, Vital Home Upgrades may coordinate applicable permits, inspections, or project documentation. Approval decisions ultimately remain with the relevant governmental or regulatory authority. Delays caused by permitting agencies or inspection availability may affect project schedules.

13. Workmanship Warranty. Any workmanship warranty provided by Vital Home Upgrades will be governed by the terms and duration stated in the applicable written project agreement. Manufacturer warranties for appliances, fixtures, equipment, or other products are separate and remain subject to the manufacturer's conditions, exclusions, and claim procedures.

14. Warranty Exclusions. Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in writing, workmanship warranties do not cover ordinary wear and tear, misuse, neglect, unauthorized alterations, improper maintenance, damage caused by other contractors, accidents, extreme weather, or conditions unrelated to our workmanship.

15. Cancellation and Rescheduling. Cancellation or rescheduling requests should be submitted as early as possible. Depending on the project stage, customers may remain responsible for completed design work, specially ordered materials, committed labor, restocking charges, or other non-recoverable project expenses. The applicable written agreement controls cancellation obligations.

16. Website Use. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape protected content, or use the website in a manner that could damage our systems or affect other visitors.

17. Intellectual Property. Website text, branding, graphics, photographs, layouts, designs, and other original materials belonging to Vital Home Upgrades may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or commercially reused without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

18. Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vital Home Upgrades will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from website use or circumstances outside the obligations established by a signed project agreement. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Third-Party Services. Certain project components may involve independent manufacturers, suppliers, licensed professionals, or other third-party providers. Their products and services may be subject to separate warranties, policies, licenses, or contractual terms. Where applicable, those terms will govern the third-party portion of the service.

20. Dispute Resolution. If a concern arises regarding a project or service, we encourage customers to contact Vital Home Upgrades promptly so the matter can be reviewed and addressed in good faith. Project-specific dispute procedures contained in a signed agreement will take precedence over these general website terms.

21. Updates to These Terms. We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our website, services, business practices, or applicable requirements. The updated version will be posted on this website. Continued use of the website after revised terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

22. Entire Understanding. These website terms provide general conditions for use of the Vital Home Upgrades website and services. Where a customer has signed a project-specific proposal, estimate, contract, or service agreement, that document will control any conflicting project-specific provision.

23. Contact. Questions regarding these Terms & Conditions, estimates, projects, or service agreements may be directed to Vital Home Upgrades through the contact information provided on this website. We encourage customers to contact us before proceeding if any provision is unclear.
